JumpoffTV: Did Nas handle his parenting problems wrong?
I can already see the women wanting to dismantle me over this one. Well you’re too late, @JasFly already go started during the episode… smh And although I (kinda) understood where she was coming from, I couldn’t have disagreed more. Now true 17 is not a grown woman and T&A all over the place do NOT an adult make, but I am not about to sit here and tell the world that a 17yr old isn’t old enough to make certain choices and live with the consequences.
I think she should consider herself lucky, plenty of people are put in situations where they have to grow up preeety quick. And, in my SUPER humble opinion, by jumping into the spotlight an talking so greasy… she put herself in one.
But hey, what do I know…
I Can Explain… coming soon
I got into a back and forth with a good friend about the video that won our Video Of the Year award. His points were that he’d seen way more creative videos out and that just because people hadn’t checked for them, didn’t mean that they weren’t dope.
I agreed. I know from experience that poor people know how to be creative. (ever made a meal out of bread and condiments?) But he didn’t take 2 things into account. First was the unexpected creativity supplied by the winner. You cant devalue creativity just because it comes with a budget. And the second? Impact. Something else that, although it comes with a budget, still can’t be ignored.
I caught a good amount of flack for my outlook. A few people even got brave enough to hint at me being Hollywood. I just think people are just learning that despite my underground roots, I’ve always only appreciated money for what it is… a tool. Not the end all to be all, not happiness incarnate, not something to die for. it’s just a tool. one that can be used to accentuate creativity or (attempt) to cover up a lack of it. And if you have a tool at your disposal that can make the job easier not using it just looks stupid… right?
Makes sense don’t it? So make dollars.
Most Annoying Trend of 2011… I’ve Planked. There, it’s all out in the open. You HAPPY NOW?! *Hangs head in shame and walks away kicking rocks.*
What I dug most about this video is that Jamal, (aka @InfNYC) without seeing the earlier debates, damn near spit my same response line for line about Ray J v.s. Fab & Chris Brown v.s. Frank Ocean beefs.
I hope you didn’t think that last one was the ONLY one. Sheeeet… Check the debate for Single Of The Year. I didn’t agree with all the joints that made the list, but you GOTTA pick your battles man…
